ABOUT DR BRANTINA
Dr Brantina Chirinda holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. She is originally a mathematician who decided to become a mathematics education researcher with interests in the teaching and learning of mathematics in contexts of disadvantage, specifically focusing on:
- mathematical thinking and problem solving,
- equitable access to content in the mathematics classroom, and
- digitalization in mathematics education in Africa
Dr. Chirinda
is an active researcher and mathematics education scholar with three edited volumes and one mathematics education book she co-authored with other academics.
